Sunseeker International has launched a standardised naming convention across its full yacht portfolio, aiming to simplify its model line-up for customers, dealers, and partners worldwide. This initiative aligns with Sunseeker’s ongoing superyacht strategy and reflects its commitment to building a globally recognised, world-class brand. 

The updated naming system is designed to make the Sunseeker range easier to navigate across markets and languages, ensuring clarity and consistency while highlighting each model’s size, category, and purpose.  

Key Benefits of the New Naming System: 

• A unified, consistent approach to naming models worldwide.  

• Clearer communication of yacht size and category.  

• Stronger alignment with Sunseeker’s growing superyacht portfolio.  

“Our yachts are enjoyed around the globe,” said CEO Andrea Frabetti. “As our portfolio expands, particularly in the superyacht sector, it’s vital to bring consistency and clarity to our range. This new naming system ensures customers and partners can easily understand and engage with our line-up, wherever they are.”  

What’s Changing? 

1. Length-Based Classification: All yachts will now be named according to their overall length in metres, replacing the previous gross tonnage system.  

2. Range Categories: Models are now grouped under revised range headings that reflect customer usage and design preferences. For example, the former “Sport Yachts” category is now incorporated into the new “Performance” range.  

3. Introduction of New Models: Several new models will debut under the updated naming convention at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.  

The New Sunseeker Range 

• Performance Range: Superhawk 55, Predator 55, Predator 65, Predator 75, 65 Sport Yacht, 75 Sport Yacht 

• Yacht Range: Manhattan 55, Manhattan 68 (2025), 76 Yacht, 88 Yacht, 94 Yacht, 95 Yacht, 100 Yacht 

• Ocean Range: 82 Ocean (New model), 82 Ocean Enclosed (formerly Ocean 156), 90 Ocean, 90 Ocean Enclosed (formerly Ocean 182) 

• Superyacht Range: 134 Superyacht (New Model)  

This new naming system reflects Sunseeker’s commitment to clarity, global consistency, and a customer-focused approach as the brand continues to grow and innovate across all segments of the yachting industry.
