Sunseeker has been awarded the prestigious “Breakthrough Launch of the Year” at the 10th anniversary edition of the Boat Builder Awards, held at Amsterdam’s National Maritime Museum. This accolade recognises excellence and innovation across the global yachting industry.  

And in this year, it celebrates Sunseeker’s latest model, the Ocean 156, which sets a new benchmark in yacht design with its expansive, customisable interiors and advanced performance capabilities. 

Award Context 

The Boat Builder Awards, co-organised by International Boat Industry (IBI) and METSTRADE, honour the contributions of boat builders, teams, and supply chain partners who advance the global yacht industry. This year, in celebration of a decade of excellence, achievements across 11 categories were recognised, including design, innovation, and environmental responsibility. 

Ocean 156: Redefining Yacht Design 

The Ocean 156 was singled out for its innovative combination of luxury, space, and flexibility: 

• Fully enclosed upper deck and panoramic saloon with 360˚ views. 

• Single-level flooring for seamless movement throughout the interior. 

• Customisable layouts and design options to tailor spaces to owner preferences.

Performance & Specifications 

Beyond its flexible interiors, the Ocean 156 delivers impressive performance: 

• Comes with two choices,  MAN V8-1300 or MAN V12-1650 engines. 

• Top speeds up to 25 knots and a range of 900 nautical miles at cruising speed. 

• 25.14 metres in length with a maximum beam of 6.56 metres. 

• 1,770 sq. ft. of interior space across three levels, plus substantial exterior entertaining areas. 

• Comfortably accommodates up to eight guests, making every journey on the water luxurious and enjoyable.
