The Pulse of Luxury Boating

Williams Jet Tenders, the world’s leading jet tender specialist, has been awarded Sustainability Project of the Year at the 10th anniversary edition of the Boat Builder Awards, held at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. The awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the global yachting industry. 

The recognition was given for Williams’ comprehensive sustainability programme, a long-term initiative designed to minimise environmental impact across its operations. The programme includes the publication of an annual sustainability report and the introduction of full lifecycle assessments for its models, setting new benchmarks for accountability and transparency within the sector. 

Founders, Mathew and John Hornsby, shared their excitement in a joint statement, saying that:  

“Winning the Sustainability Project of the Year award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our team. At Williams, sustainability is a fundamental part of our mission, and this award reinforces our resolve to lead the industry toward a more environmentally responsible future.” 

The award recognises boat builders and shipyards that introduce meaningful changes to their operations and production methods. Thus, resulting in measurable reductions in environmental impact throughout both the manufacturing process and a product’s lifecycle.  

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Boat Builder Awards ( jointly organised by International Boat Industry (IBI) and METSTRADE) showcased excellence across 11 categories, highlighting achievements in design, innovation, and sustainability.  

It’s truly inspiring to see how this recognition further enriches Williams’ impressive list of achievements, especially following its earlier proud moment in 2024 when it was honored with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
